We just got back from a two week vacation. The main reason for the trip was Emma's dance competition in Panama City, FL. My parents bought a Marriott time share there six years ago but they have traded it each year so they could visit other places. We were grateful they offered to meet us in Panama City and spend the week with them in their time share. We're also grateful they brought along Amie Wilkinson (my niece).
Our family drove and we broke up the trip stopping in Fort Benning, Georgia where my sister Heather just moved. Her husband, Colby, is doing some intense infantry training on the army base there. We spent Father's Day with them and two days on our return trip as well.
Emma's dance competition went really well. They competed against twenty other groups in their age category. The competition only places the top five dances and her three dances won 1st, 3rd and 5th, so they were very happy!
We ended our trip in Cincinnati at my parents' home and had a fun time celebrating the fourth of July with them, the Hills, the Edwards and my Granddad Mains.
The trip was a lot of driving and we had sick kids for most of it, but we made great memories and it was a fun way to start our summer!
