On March 2nd Emma got her braces off! She had them on for over 2 ½ years. What a happy day! Now she has to get used to wearing a
retainer.

Concordia sponsored National History Day on March 9th. Five other schools came. All of the ninth graders at Concordia had to
participate. Preparing for this event
took several months in her History/Humanities and Language Arts classes. Emma and her group (Talya Estey and Duncan
Wang) did a dramatic performance on the history of the ballpoint pen. They got second place, which qualified them
to participate in National History Day in Washington, DC the week of June 8th
at the University of Maryland.
They are super excited. There will
be a group of about 20 students from Concordia going, representing China!
Emma sang “Nearer My God to Thee” for New Beginnings in March. Maddie played the Cello and Becky played the piano. After the song one of her YW leaders came up to her and said, “You don’t look like a girl anymore, you look like a woman!”

We love praying for our family members on missions every morning
