When we found out the Middle School musical was going to be “The Rockin Tale of Snow White” we were thrilled. The middle school drama director is new to Concordia this year and announced that she didn’t want to cut anyone that wanted to try out. She also decided to open it up to the entire middle school (5th-8th grades). 80 kids tried out. Eliza was so excited to be cast as Snow White. Her best friend was the Queen. Our 5th grade friend, Mallory Miller, was the young Snow White. Rehearsals were long and sometimes chaotic. A few kids dropped out because of the time commitment. Choreographing the opening number with 75 kids was difficult but the smaller group numbers (dwarfs and ladies in waiting) were more manageable. Eliza worked hard and had many late nights with rehearsals and homework. She did an amazing job! She is a natural on stage. What a great memory for her!
