James starred in our High School Play, "Noises Off.” The cast had been working hard on this since the first week of school. I like that the fall plays are a small cast. The kids really get to perfect their skills and they grow close together. He had us laughing so hard! We were so proud of him. I’m glad it is over and he is home more now. But we just had our spring musical auditions. We are doing Oklahoma and he will be playing Will. Eliza will also be in it as an ensemble member and I’ll be doing the choreogrpahy.

Tessa’s dance teacher sent me this photo of their ballet class stretching.
I had to make an apple crisp for our Young Women in Excellence in November. Tessa practically made the whole thing by herself. And she made one gluten free for James. We have an amazing group of girls in Young Womens. I always feel so blessed to get to work with the youth.
On November 10th we kidnapped Mallory Miller on her 12th birthday! The Beehives and I took her out for ice-cream to welcome her to Young Women’s. I’ve know Mallory her whole life since we were friends with her family back in MI before she was even born. That same night the Mia Maids had a farewell for Bailey Morris who just moved back to Provo, UT.
Eliza had a fun two months being a Cheerleader! Our school only has cheerleaders for basketball and the season is short. Eliza grew a ton these months both in height (she is now taller than me) and in personality. She really shines!
Tessa is always such a big support to her siblings and loved attending every basketball game. Go Phoenix!

Our combined Young Men & Young Women activity in November was a Cook-Off. The Beehives and Deacons were at our house. The other youth were at two other branch family homes in our neighborhood. We gave them breakfast food ingredients and they had to come up with a meal. John was the judge and went to all three houses. The Beehives and Deacons came in 2nd place.
John took his judging very seriously while the youth serenaded him.
All the youth met back at our house for awards.
Sunday, November 20th, the Haydens were visiting from San Francisco, CA. We had them over for dinner. They used to live in our branch and it was great to have them back in China for a few days.
