Ben Morgan and his family have lived in our branch for three years. They moved here from CA to work on the new Shanghai Disney, building the rollercoaster Tron. He was able to get every member in our branch discounted tickets to go to the park during their soft opening. The day we went was Friday, June 3rd. Emma had already graduated and we pulled the other four kids out of school for the day. Ten minutes after we arrived it rained. It poured rain the entire day! But we still had fun and were able to ride most of the rides we wanted. Tron did not disappoint. Shanghai Disney is very impressive!
Johnsons, Millers and Larsens
Outside of the park is the Lion King Theater. This is a Broadway type show of the Lion King in Mandarin. Sophie Zheng (a member in our branch) works on casting and advertising for this production. She got our family discounted tickets during their soft opening. We went the day after school got out for summer break. She managed to get us two front row seats and five 4th row seats for the price of only two tickets. We were so grateful. We were completely blown away…the show was absolutely stunning!
