"We also visited a small, quaint restaurant run by a local artist who was a friend of our guide. Following our meal, which we ate with chopsticks, we were able to take a private tour with the artist and view his paintings and his personal art techniques. Many of his creations were huge pictures made up of small pieces of silk fabric, rolled into tiny tight tubes and glued to a canvas to create a design. It's hard to describe but the effect was beautiful and each large finished work cost several thousand dollars"
