After 16 days off, school starts tomorrow! I am ready to get back into the routine but the kids are dragging their feet.
Our family spent New Year’s Eve at the Haddock’s home, with friends from our branch. We ate, danced, the kids did a craft, and at 9pm we had a countdown to welcome 2011. We went home and had a Wii party until midnight.
Today, Monday, we wanted one last hurrah before school starts, so we went downtown to the aquarium for a few hours. After that we went to the World Financial Center (the 5th tallest building in the world). It is directly across from Ford’s offices. We got tickets to the 97th floor lookout of the city. It was a spectacular view! In the basement there is a Cold Stone Creamery. We had buy-one-get-one free coupons. A great way to end a perfect holiday!
