Eliza and Tessa have both really enjoyed girl scouts this year. Unfortunately, their leaders and a lot of their friends are moving this summer. They both decided this would be their last year of girl scouts.
April 12th was the girl scout daddy daughter dance. This is the same night as the general priesthood session in Shanghai. The girls begged John to attend, so the Johnsons (our good friends and home teachers) took James to priesthood. I took the girls to the fabric market a few weeks before the dance. Eliza had designed some dresses and brought the pictures to the market to see if she could have them made. We picked out really cute fabric and the dresses turned out beautifully. The theme of the dance was Candy Land. They all had a great time.
April 20th was Easter Sunday. I spoke in sacrament meeting on the resurrection. We had lunch at the Johnsons and the Nicols joined as well. We had a small Easter Egg hunt in the park across from their house. We put Taylor Swift concert tickets In the kids’ Easter baskets. We have wanted to see her in concert for several years now and were so excited to hear she was coming to Shanghai. The concert was Friday, May 30th and we had great seats! It was great but a little too short—we could have easily stayed another hour. Tessa was out of her seat the entire time singing and dancing. What a super fun family night!!
